On Sunday, Oct. 2nd, Logic appeared in one of Dan Harmon’s podcast episodes and he confirmed that he will be releasing a new album called “AfricAryaN.” The podcast episode has not been released yet, but in an interview with Rolling Stone that took place this past April Logic shared that he was“currently working on two albums at the same time.” He went on to say that one of the albums he was working on was “fun,”which obviously refers to the latest album he released “Bobby Tarantino,”as it proved to be filled with hype beats and pop culture references in his lyrics.
In the interview he gives a preview of the lyrics that will be featured on his new album (AfriAryaN):
“I feel the Aryan in my blood is scarier than a Blood
Been lookin’ for holy water, now I’m prayin’ for a flood
It feel like time passin’ me by slower than a slug.
But my beautiful black brothers and sisters wanna act like I’m adopted
Go back in time to when my ni**a daddy impregnated my cracker momma and stopped it
Somebody pinch me.”
Logic goes onto discuss the details surrounding his new album, stating that the project is “for the perspective of all different types of people.” As most of us already know, Logic is a deep thinker and loves to dissect societal norms. With a name like “AfriAryaN,” this new album seems to be diving into some of the most controversial societal outlooks we are encountering today. I think most fans would agree that they’re excited to see the direction Logic takes this new project.
