Canadian electronic music duo Zeds Dead has been removed from the Ultra Music Festival lineup.
The group was initially listed as “Northern Lights” (the name of their recent debut album) on UMF’s Phase 2 lineup, where they were set to perform next to major headliners Steve Aoki, David Guetta, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren, among others.
It’s a surprising move considering Zeds Dead’s popularity and festival history — the producers rocked a set at UMF once before, in 2015.
Ultra has yet to comment on the group’s removal, and hasn’t announced a replacement act.
On Wednesday, the group took to Twitter to confirm their UMF absence.

If you were dying to catch Zeds Dead at Ultra, fear not; the group will be performing at Soho Studios in Miami for “Deadbeats Goes off the Deep End” on March 23 — a day before Ultra begins.
