The Chainsmokers had the world waiting with their “Memories Do Not Open…” Tour, and after kicking off the show in Miami on April 13, they have already hit four stops as they make their way up the Eastern United States with stops in Tampa; Charleston, South Carolina; and Charlottesville, Virginia.
When I took to social media and the internet to see how fans have been reacting, I got a few mixed emotions across the board.

With their new tour album reaching No. 1 on the charts — and with teases and announcements from the duo of all these different talents they were bringing along with them — I was surprised to see a story from the Miami New Times. The writer seemed displeased with the whole show from the “awkward intro” to the end, where “there didn’t seem that much of a demand for an encore.” For someone who has seen the Chainsmokers live at multiple festivals, they have always had some incredible drops and dance busting sets, so it was quite mind-blowing to me to hear anything of theirs referred to as “routine and regimented.”
Here were some other negative reactions:
Just watched highlights of the chainsmokers first show on the tour. Not a single person moved.

Can't tell if the people who says the Chainsmokers tour is the best concert they've been to are getting paid to say that or..

It seems the only way to get the real answer would be to see it for yourself, and there’s still a whole summer to do that. Next stop for the duo is Bridgeport, Connecticut, on April 20.
