Glitter, fairy dust and the sound of intense base drops filled the Miami air as the first day of Ultra Music Festival was under way at Bay Front Park.
Seas of people filled all seven stages as headlining artists jumped and riled up the crowd to their bangin’ sets. There were even a few surprise guests.
In between Alesso and Martin Garrix’s performance on the main stage, a special Norwegian DJ who wasn’t on this year’s Ultra lineup decided to pop up.
As the sound of finger snaps and his famous flute bouncing drop started to play, the deep house legend Kygo did a surprise 20-minute interlude of his latest hits.
Opening up with his latest hit featuring Selena Gomez, “It Ain’t Me”, the crowd went wild for the unexpected show. Unfortunately only a video of Selena Gomez appeared on the screen as he apologized on behalf of her not being able to make it to join him.
Fans weren’t disappointed though, and Kygo pleased them mixing his known hits like “Firestone” into a bunch of new debuted music.
We’re excited for what other big guests could be in store for us here on Day 2 of Ultra. Keep a look out!
