Drake and Kendrick Lamar Rack Up Most AMA Nominations.

The morning of Oct. 12, Ciara appeared on Good Morning America to announce the nominations for the annual 2017 American Music Awards.

Drake and Kendrick Lamar snatched up the most nominations for categories including Artist of the Year, Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip Hop, Favorite Album – Rp/Hip Hop, to list a few. This is not a first for Drake, having won both Favorite Album and Favorite Artist back in 2016.

Ciara also unveiled the nominations for Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock, Favorite Album – Pop/Rock, Favorite Song – Pop/Rock.

Fan favorite artist The Weeknd’s album Starboy nabbed a nomination for Favorite Album – Pop/Rock, as well as landing himself a nomination in Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B.

Migos also managed to land themselves on the list with a nomination for Favorite Artists – Rap/Hip Hop along heavyweights Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Their extremely hyped and fan-loved album Culture has been nominated for Favorite Album – Rap/Hip Hop.

Pop legend Rihanna was not left out of the fun. She’s up for Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock and Favorite Female Artist – Soul/R&B.
