Billboard Music Awards Nominees Announced

May 21 is shaping up to be an exciting night as the 2017 Billboard Music Awards will be lighting up television screens everywhere. Just a little over a month away from the award show, the nominees have officially been announced.

As announced by Michael Strahan and Pete Wentz on April 10, the categories are; Top Artist, Top New Artist, Billboard Chart Achievement Award, Top Male Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Duo/Group, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Social Media Artist, Top Touring Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Country Artist to name a few.

With so many new and very specific awards to be given out this year, it could be lopsided towards specific artists or we can see a wide array of artists walking away with awards.

Here are just some of the many talented artists who have been nominated this year.

Leading the pack with 22, Drake and The Chainsmokers garnered the most nominations. This awards show can even see Adele becoming the only artist in history to take home three Top Artist awards, as well as Rihanna becoming the artist with the most BBMA’s if she earns tenΒ more this year.

The Billboard Music Awards could see artists cemented in history, what is more fun to watch then that?

The full list of categories and nominees can be found on Billboard’s website.
